One of the core features of snapchat is their snap map which allows you to share real time location with your friends.
But what if you want to change your location on snapchat so that other people think you are anywhere else.
In this guide I will show you the easiest way to to Fake Snapchat Location on iPhone without resorting to jailbreak.
Before we dive in, let us understand which program is the best for changing Snapchat location.
Which program is the best for changing Snapchat location?
Unfortunately on normal iPhone that don’t have a jailbreak you can’t just install the app to change your location.
This is because the apps you have downloaded from appstore don’t have that capacity.
Aside from that I don’t recommend making a jailbreak if you are just testing it out.
In worst case scenario it may just cause harm to your device.
Without a jailbreak, you will need to use a computer and install a program Inorder to change your location.
There are several programs that you can use. I personally like iMyFone AnyTo, and Tenorshare iAnyGo which works both on windows and MAC.
In this guide, I will go much in detail on how iMyFone AnyTo works but the application from Tenorshare functions mostly in the same way as well.
With iMyFone AnyTo you spoof location and your location based apps like google maps, snapchat or WhatsApp will inherit the fake location.
You can try it with restricted access for free or you can purchase a plan to have unlimited use of the features.
Choose your plan by clicking on the tag at the top right corner.
Now lets start setting up your iMyFone AnyTo.
How to Fake Snapchat Location on iPhone
To Fake Snapchat Location on iPhone, you need to choose your operating system then download and install it on your computer.
Afterwards launch the program and click get started.
Next connect your iPhone using an original or mfi certified cable to ensure there will be no problem with the transfer of data.
If this is your first time connecting to the program, you have to confirm that you trust this computer when prompted on your iPhone and provide your passcode when required.
The next time you connect to iMyFone AnyTo, you can directly choose your device.
You can either choose to connect via Wi-Fi or cable.
I prefer choosing cable connection because it is much stable and reliable.
Once a connection is established your iMyFone AnyTo dashboard should load the map.
On the top right corner, you will see four different modes which you can use to change location.
These include;
- Joystick Mode
- Two spot mode
- Multi spot mode
- Teleport Mode.
With the Joystick Mode, you can go along the map using your keyboard keys.
The two spot mode customizes routes between two locations wherein the multi-spot mode allows route customization for upto 100 spots.
Teleport Mode
The teleport mode will allow you to jump to a location of your choice.
To teleport to a different location, you can either pin directly from the map by clicking on it or you can use the search bar.
If you use the search bar, type in the location like Athens.
Click move on the sidebar panel and confirm it once again.
Now your location will be changed to the fake location.
Open the snapchat app and tap on the map. As you can see below snapchat now will think you are in Greece. Please note that move button will only be available for a limited number if you have the paid version.
If you are a trial user, you can teleport to a location for five times only.
I have mentioned earlier, the favorite providers for location spoofing are iMyFone AnyTo and Tenoshare.
They offer similar functionalities so you can just checkout each of their offered plans and see what works best for you.
The plans are quite expensive but I haven’t found a better alternative yet.
Aside from teleporting from one place to another, you can also plan a specific route to set up a movement.
Two-Spot Mode
To do this click on the 2-spot mode then search for a specific destination maybe like instanbul.
On the sidebar panel, you can vary the number of times you want to go forth and back or control the pace by dragging the speed bar.
Check the realistic mode below the speed bar, your speed will vary for every 5 seconds thus making your movement seem natural and not overly automated.
After setting up your route, click move to start the stimulation of your movement.
You will see that your bitmoji is also moving according to plan root on snap map.
If you want, you can also choose to pause your movements, resume or stop altogether on sidebar panel.
You can also add more than one device to iMyFone AnyTo.
On the lower right corner, select the phone icon.
Click on add then plug in another device. If you want to apply a location change to only the device, you can disable the beside each device name.
If you want to revert to your original location, click on the reset button just below the phone icon.
Now on snap map, you will see that your location is reverted to your original location as well.
Pease note that resetting your location on iMyFone might not automatically revert changes in every application on your iPhone.
So to ensure that your iPhone’s location will revert to its original position, you will have to restart your device.
How To Turn Off Snapchat Location
To Turn Off Snapchat Location, go and open up snapchat. Tap on the profile icon or bitmoji in the top left corner. Then tap on the settings gear icon in the top right corner.
In the settings, scroll down to “who can” heading and then tap “see my location“.
There you will have a few different options, when you select “my friends, except” then you can choose individual who you don’t want to have access to your location.
The X indicates the friends you have limited to have access to your location as shown below.
Alternatively you can select “only these friends” meaning only the friends listed will have access to your location.
In addition, you have the toggle button at the bottom where you can either enable or disable friends from requesting your location.
You will receive snapchat requests in your chat area.
If you don’t want anyone to see your location then turn on the ghost mode.
Ghost mode stops people from seeing your location on snapchat.
How to Turnoff Snapmaps on Snapchat
To turnoff Snapmaps on Snapchat, you need to go into your phone location settings and find your location permission settings.
Open the settings app, scroll down, click on privacy and then tap on location services .
On the location services page, scroll down to snapchat and click to open it.
Select never on the list displayed, your location on snapchat will be completely turned off.
Who Checks / Viewed My Location On Snapchat?
To see who viewed your location on snapchat, open the snapchat app, click on the avatar and the setting option.
Take a snap and click next. Under stories, click on snap map and then tap ok.
The eye icon will be displaying whoever view your snapchat location.
